Graphics Design

In people’s minds, Graphic design is just another defining word for fine artists – when the truth is that we’re almost opposites. Designers create to communicate – we’re visual-thinking problem solvers, and if people are interpreting our message in their own unique ways, well, then we’re just not very good at our job. (On the other hand, Fine Arts Artists create to inspire, to emote, to share something that’s uniquely theirs with the world – and the best art lets each viewer find their own interpretation)

So what exactly does a Graphic Design Team do? We’re visual communicators. We tell, update, and promote visually what’s happening at Edge Media and our local community. So, if you don’t consider yourself a Fine Art Artist but want to be one, but you love communicating visually? Then join this team.

Illustration Design

Both graphic designers and illustrators do visual work, but the essential difference is that a graphic designer works on design structures and an illustrator does more drawing. If you prefer drawing, illustrating concepts, book illustrations, graphic novels, and creating logos, then joining  this team is the best fit for you

Photography

If you love taking portrait photos or love journalistic photography and have a very good eye for catching images –  welcome to this team!
