The Christian billionaire boss of one of America’s most popular burger chains is joining the exodus of successful business people and entertainment celebrities from California.

Lynsi Snyder is the heiress and president of the In-N-Out Burger company which is a cultural phenomenon in the United States.

It is regularly rated as one of the nation’s best fast food providers and one of the best US employers to work for.

It has chosen not to franchise its operations or go public.

BIBLE VERSES WITH BURGERS

It was founded in Los Angeles by Lynsi’s grandfather and for nearly 80 years it has been run by the Snyder family who are devout evangelical Christians.

Customers can find small Bible verse citations on the bottoms of cups and burger wrappers

Now, Lynsi Snyder is packing up her family and moving to Tennessee.

She told podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey: “I really loved living in Northern California and there are a lot of great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here, doing business is not easy here.”

GOVERNMENT CLOSED STORES DURING COVID PANDEMIC

The 43-year-old has previously run into issues with California’s business regulations — especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When the company’s San Francisco location refused to check its customers’ vaccine status back in 2021, despite the county’s mandates, two of its locations were temporarily shut down.

“There were so many pressures and hoops we were having to jump through,” she recalled.

“It was really terrible.”

PLANS TO OPEN STORES IN TENNESSEE, BUT NOT ACROSS US EAST COAST

Ms. Snyder plans to expand the business in Tennessee, but despite frequent requests, there are currently no plans to expand to Florida or the rest of the East Coast.

She even turned down an approach by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

“We are able to reach Tennessee from our Texas warehouse,” Ms. Snyder said.

The burger chain will also be expanding to Washington and New Mexico.

FAITH IN CHRIST INFORMS BILLIONAIRE’S BUSINESS DECISIONS

The mother of four says her faith in Christ informs her business decisions, and she always keeps in mind her family and their values.

“In every decision about the future of In-N-Out Burger, I give strong consideration to what my grandparents and my family would think is best for our company,”

“It was my Uncle Rich who put the Bible verses on the cups and wrappers in the early ’90s, just before he passed away.”

“He had just accepted the Lord and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand.”

“It’s a family business and will always be, and that’s a family touch.”

LYNSI SNYDER JOINS OTHER HIGH PROFILE EXITS FROM CALIFORNIA

Lynsi Snyder is just the latest high-profile business figure to flee the Golden State that’s become notorious for heavy taxes, oppressive regulations, progressive politics, and a punishing cost of living.

Companies to move their headquarters include Elon Musk’s X and SpaceX, Charles Schwab and Chevron.

Christian actor and author Kirk Cameron shared last year when he fled California for Tennessee: “It’s pretty clear that California has been moving in a particular direction for a long time.”

The 53-year-old said he discovered Tennessee has become a haven for “a lot of California refugees,” including many “creatives” looking for a new place outside of Hollywood to establish community.

His Christian sister, Candace Cameron Bure was among them, saying:  “We didn’t feel safe anymore. That was the biggest reason we moved.”
