Seeing in the midst of life’s challenges
From one day to the next, major events and occurrences change the way we see and live our lives. Daily we hear of:
• Another major disaster;
• Another hourly murder, rape or life ending behaviour;
• Another greedy and injustice business deal;
• An unsteady fragile stock market;
• Another unexpected price rise;
It seems harder to find the “Feel Good” stories in the midst of so much destruction, despair and hopelessness.
Jesus said in the gospel of John 16:33,
I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble, but be of good courage for I have overcome the world.
It is far too easy to be distracted by what is going on around us and allow the “spirit of that” to trouble and over shadow the ONE WHO IS GREATER THAN IT ALL.
Where are you Today?
Today, you might be standing at the cliff of your life wondering what can happen next.
Today, you may have that one problem that seems to be getting the better of.
Today, you might be on the verge of giving it all up, throwing in the towel.
Be of good courage is what Jesus said. Be brave because the one living in you is greater than he who coming against you.
